The partners of the B.O.S.S. – Blind Oriented Suggester System project aim to develop, through state-of-the-art technologies, a tool that enables blind and visually impaired people to move as easily as possible in completely unfamiliar areas or within buildings that, by their nature, have complex architectural layouts.

The total eligible project cost amounts to €5,383,141.25, corresponding to a total public incentive of €2,937,952.27, broken down as follows: €2,307,414.77 in the form of a non-repayable grant and €630,537.50 as subsidised financing.
The project is funded by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy under the Sustainable Growth Fund – Innovation Agreements, pursuant to Ministerial Decrees of 31 December 2021 and 11 May 2023, and Director’s Decree of 11 August 2023.
The Innovation Agreement with the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy was signed on 26 September 2025.
The Decree granting the incentives was issued on 16 January 2026.
